I came for my filling appointment at 12:30 this afternoon. There was a sign on the door that said they were to reopen at 12:30 so I waited in the hall; a couple other people were there also. Come 12:45 they still hadn’t opened the door so a man waiting next to me knocked. They appeared to be having some sort of holiday party inside. They said they would not be open until 1:30 and that my appt had to be rescheduled. I got a text yesterday to text to confirm my appt, which I did. I was never informed that they would be closed. This is the second time now that I have had problems at this community health location. The first time I came in with a card they had given me stating that my appt was Friday October 27th at 415, and when I got there she said it was not until Friday December 8th at 415. I have a very busy schedule I am in school and working and have had this appointment scheduled for months. I called to reschedule later in the day and the receptionist informed me that they could not get me in until February 8th. I asked to speak to a manager who informed me the soonest she could get me in was January 22nd with a different provider. Seeing as I have had this appointment scheduled since October I have no interest in waiting any longer. I have been to the Portland avenue CHC and never experienced any of these problems. I will not be returning to the Lakewood CHC the staff there are clearly incapable of doing their jobs. These types of incidents are completely unprofessional and unacceptable for an establishment such as this. Save your time and go to a different location.
