The office staff here is mildly friendly, although as a new client, I can't say I felt particularly welcome. The doctors, in general, are not very personable - I saw three different ones in the few months I have gone there. Doctors and staff walk through the tiny waiting room without making any eye contact or acknowledgement of you sitting there. During the appointment, I had to keep asking for clarification regarding my dog's well-being and for explanations for recommended tests or treatments. After my first appointment there, when the doctor left the room, I wasn't even sure the appointment was over because the doctor left the room without saying anything. It was so odd! In addition, I feel like they sort of "nickel and dime" you here - charging you for additional appointments for things that could have been taken care of in a single appointment. Thinking more about it - the term "nickel and dime" doesn't really describe it when the bills add up! Now to be fair - they did help my dog get healthy and I felt reasonably confident in their competency. I went to this vet after hearing great reviews, but I am not going to stay with them. I need a vet that is not only a competent medical professional, but also someone who can communicate well with clients, have a positive and pleasant personality and genuinely seems to like their job!

Let me begin by saying Meadow Hill Vet Shoppe is 1 1/2 hours drive for me in one direction. I could go to a local vet, but this practice is well worth the drive. Simply put, Dr. Mills-Cone and her assistant Laurie in my opinion are one of the most trusted, kind and knowledgeable vets and tech staff I have ever used. Over the years, I have presented dogs to the practice who have been very, very ill. Dr. Mills-Cone and her assistant Laurie have been very sucessful at making them well again. She is my primary vet for both well care and challanging cases. The staff is always available to support me and gives me peace of mind. Dr. Mills-Cone and Laurie are invaluable to me. I can not say enough about this practice!

The veterinarians and staff at this hospital are all very caring and easy to deal with. The veteriarians are truely interested in and care for the animals that they treat. The prices are very reasonable and they don't try to sell you things that you don't need like many other veterinarians. I cannot find anything negative to say about Meadow Hill.
