I was told ways to control my reflux which has been mostly helpful. I will be having a procedure done that hopefully will help me. I was please with my options. Everything was written down which I really liked it.

Every question was answered before I asked it. Dr Hixon makes you feel like he has known you for years. I have no memory of the procedure. Thanks and glad it's over for ten years !

The doctor, nurse's and staff were very friendly and caring. They kept us informed on when we would be called back, they brought me a warm blanket in the waiting room because they thought I looked cold. Very thoughtful. Nurses were great at making me feel comfortable and at ease. The Anesthesiologist explained what would happen and how quickly I would be asleep, he was great. The doctor talked to me and answered all my questions. He was very reassuring. I would recommend him to everyone.

I believe I was Dr. Hixon's first patient of the day. I am a bit hazy about names, but both the nurse and the person who administered anaesthesia were really terrific--very cheery, very competent and very nice. As usual, Dr. Hixon was extremely nice, very willing to explain and discuss everything, and a pleasure to see again after 5 years. I do not think that having a colonscopy is great fun, but the experience could not have been less stressful or more positive. I feel lucky to be treated by this great team!

Even before I was scheduled for a colonoscopy, Dr. Hixson called and talked to be about my health and what I needed to do. I was also given detailed instructions before the procedure. When I enter the St. George Endoscopy Center the day of the procedure I felt confident in the staff that assisted me. From the front desk receptionist and then to the competent nurses, Maggie and Becky, I felt calm and knew I would be well taken care of. After the procedure I was checked and watched closely by the nursing staff. Dr. Hixson came and talked to my wife and I about the procedure and what he had observed during this time. Dr. Hixson was very detailed in what had taken place and what should be done to help maintain a healthy lifestyle while dealing with chronic colitis. The next morning an associate from the Endoscopy Center called to see how I was doing, even though I was not at home, he left a message. Dr. Hixson then did a follow up call a week later to let us know what the results were of the biopsies that were done. We feel that Dr. Hixson is an exceptional doctor that is very knowledgeable, trustworthy, respectful and treats his patients like they are the only patient he has. We appreciate the love and concern Dr. Hixson has for our family and our health.
