I feel I need to write a review for Dr. John Mullins. I went into him almost a year ago now with general malaise and a few other concerns. He diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease, and of course my cholesterol and Triglycerides were high. Instead of just prescribing me a bunch of medicine treat the symptoms he gave me only a moderate dose of Metformin for my insulin resistance and said I should work on diet and exercise for the rest. I had a follow up appointment with him a week later after another test. I came to him with some of the research I did on better diet for myself and a lot of it conflicted. I was even able to find a website explaining that trans-fats were great for me! In the middle of his day he sat with me for 30 to 40 minutes and helped me figure out better ways to manage my diet and found me guidelines and explained why certain foods were worse than others. In my research I have found so many people whose doctors just didn't seem to care if they really got better. Even when I stopped losing weight (I am still considered overweight but I do not qualify as obese anymore) he said that whatever I am doing is working and my numbers are all going in a positive direction. I cannot recommend Dr. Mullins enough to anyone. He is the best doctor I have had over my entire life and he actually cares about his patients and wants to fix what’s wrong rather than prescribing medicines to treat the symptoms.

The office was easy enough to find. They were somewhat easy to reach in an emergency. I always know that I'll get a prompt answer to my question. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say. I was able to relax during my appointment here. Everyone makes sure you are comfortable and at ease. He is a compassionate physician.

They definitely were not willing or able to answer the majority of the questions I had. I needed a lot of information, but received barely any. I definitely don't trust their advice. They're only concerned about themselves. His time seemed more important than my pain. I had to repeat everything at least twice. He wouldn't perform tests because I had no insurance, (even though I could have paid, same day) he said I wasn't "tender enough" to have anything wrong. He didn't seem to care even when I left sobbing. Turns out I have gallstones, with a stone lodged in my duct, an enlarged spleen (which I specifically asked about, and he said was fine) and a kidney infection. Now I'm being told I need surgery. He left me feeling stupid, like I was overreacting. I know now that I wasn't. I will NEVER go back.

Did you notice a foul odor when you arrived at this provider's office?
Not at all, their office smelled fantastic!
Did you experience unnecessary pain during your visit?
Not one bit! I felt much better when I left!
Does this provider leave you on hold for a long time when you call?
Never! I don't think I've ever been put on hold here for a long time
