When first started here there was a huge turn over of staff. Some, glad they are gone. You would start getting to know someone, then they'd be gone and you'd get someone new. Stopped going for a while because of this. I am going now and it seems better in that aspect.

I just wish my appointment was a little more than 1 hour, I forgot to tell her some other stuff and I called and they said(staff was very polite) that she doesn't return calls but they could pass her a message or just wait until my next appointment and tell her but I forget things very easy. So I let the lady who answered write a small message but I am worried the dr won't understand clearly what I wanted to tell her. I hope I remember to bring it up next month.

I went there for help and came out more depressed than when I went in. I was first called to an office by a very rude woman who didn't even bother to introduce herself. She began beratting me for not bringing in the right paperwork and said what I did bring to prove I was both homeless and broke right into the trash can. She threatened that I would not be seen for my appointment and that if I did I would be charged the full rate. I was reduced to tears by this employee. She does not understand the concept of compassion or empathy and should never be working with patients. Stay away if you can.

Be Very Wary Of These People. Dr. Hodgekiss (and I use the term Dr. Loosely) Has had people committed when they were clearly not a danger to themselves or others by claiming in writing that they were. He ignores required state ethics and laws. Be warned, if you go here and are assigned this quack don't walk but Run to any other facility. Don't be treated at Kershaw County Mental Health.
