I have been using Edwards Health Care for about 20 months. My insurance company only allows Edwards and one other company for my Dexcom 7 supplies. They have been great until December 2023 when they charged my credit card for my co-pay but cancelled my order due to a computer glitch. It was mailed out 1 week late. In January, I had to contact them because they never hit my credit card. I was told it was an oversight and would be mailed out that same day. This was the 5th of January and it didn't get mailed until the 12th. At that time, I told the representative if they screwed up one more time, I would contact my insurance company to switch to the other company they use. Well, here it is the 3rd of the month, my credit card hasn't been charged again. I'm contacting my insurance company on Monday to see how to handle transferring to the other company. (they charge your card the day after they receive your refill forms and might not mail supplies out for 2 weeks, which I think is bad customer service). Also, since they screwed up, I'm having to do a few days/week without the Dexcom 7. Totally their fault.
I have trouble distinguishing truthful reviews from fraudulent ones and the only way I found out how to do that a little bit better is to read about the details. Dr. Edwards is truly the best! She took her time at my Mom's appointment giving us all the time to ask questions and translate the answers. She took on her to look at the list of medications my mother brought with her from Europe and find the American substitute. She requested past scans, tests, and documents to recreate her medical history. She was so personal, approaching, and caring that for once my mom wants to go back and we both are ready to trust her with my mom's well being.
I am supposed to have a representative with this company. She does not answer the phone. I have ca;;ed at leasr 6 times a day with no answer and no answering machine.
I talk to them quite often and that’s the problem. I am saddled with Medicare rules and that makes it difficult to use the Diabetes 14 day system. We are constantly behind the system so the result is I have to revert to the old methods. It’s a shame because the sensor system is very convenient but I won’t renew it because the system is fraught with unreliability.
I am going to make a purchase with them out of pocket as soon as money is available in a day or two. They were always courteous and when it was taking the doctor awhile to get back with them they called me to let me know that they had not heard back from the doctor yet so that I might call to inquire why. I will know more soon. But so far so good.
This company was doing great with my supplies (Animas) for the past 6 years. I am in the process of getting a new pump and I am having doubts but time will tell. Not sure if it's an Medtronic/Animas issue or this provider, spoken too three agents two where open and informative the third (2nd call) was short and I terminated the call due to the tone/disposition. Giving a 2.5 star rating only due to the unknown otherwise it would have been a 5
Their service and their process for obtaining pump supplies on a maintenance basis is flawed, to put it mildly. Their staff, as well as, their supervisors are like robots with no ability to accommodate even the simplest requests. Wouldn't recommend them.
Edwards is no longer an approved vendor of my wife's diabetic supplies and now we are receiving bills that are 6 months and now a year old that were supposed to have been paid by insurer. When you call them you get a run around that they were filing but just got answer back. Did not receive notice that they no longer were approved.
Awful !!! When my diabetic supplier was no longer an approved vendor I attemped to switch to Edwards. Filled out all the papers ,talked to Mary Beth twice. That was many months ago and have recieved NOTHING . This is progress ? Bruce A. Doorly Doorlt 484 @aol.com
