Good vet, cheaper services and definitely a great place to take your pet when you want to care for them without breaking the bank. Doctors and staff are very nice and can always answer questions.

My first visits to this facility were very positive.

My wife and I have a dog with an eye issue (a female Chihuahua named Bella). We had made an appointment and upon arrival we had almost no waiting time (about 5 minutes).

The staff was accommodating, and Dr. Hines is very personable; as funerals are meant for the living and NOT the dead, so, too, much of a vet's work is sometimes more about soothing pet owners' concerns than about the particular health issue of the animal (the psyche of the pet owner is accommodated).

Dr. Hines was very good with Bella, handling her well (and Bella sat quietly and patiently throughout). Dr. Hines walked us through the exam, explained what was going on, and discussed protocols for follow-up. She was thorough and pleasant. Our follow-up visit several days later was equally pleasant.

Also, the facility was clean and QUIET--something one doesn't always find in a veterinary service (the lack of peace in such places usually comes from pet owners with poorly trained or undisciplined animals which says more about the OWNER than the animal)..

And, finally, this has to be one of the most REASONABLY priced care-givers in the area. Our dog got a series of updated shots for only $16!! And the office visit, considering all that had to be done on the first visit (eye exam, dilation, medications provided, etc.) was likewise less than expected.

It is truly upsetting to see a business owner compromise his own business, his profits, his employee’s livelihood, and his partners practice by treating a paying customer (myself) so rudely that I would NEVER go back, nor would I ever recommend anyone to the practice. At LaGrange Animal Hospital I met with Dr. Phillip Heye. He didn’t greet me with a warm welcome, nor did he greet my new puppy with one but I overlooked that, for everyone has their days. But as the visit moved along Dr. Heye’s tone was condescending and very rude remarks were being made. I was reprimanded for my nervous dog and the more Dr. Heye made me uncomfortable the more uncomfortable my dog seemed to become. When a female assistant walked in and proceeded to take my dog to the back I was giving my dog encouragement and telling him that he was a good boy. Dr. Heye’s response to me telling my dog he was a good boy was…”What is it that your dog is doing is exactly”? He also never called Gus by his name. He referred to him as ‘this dog’ or ‘that dog’. A few minutes later the kind assistant returned Gus to me and she apologized for the Dr. Heye’s behavior. You could see that she was embarrassed by his behavior. I have struggled with making the decision to return or not because our initial and first visit was with Dr. Bridgett Hines. My now deployed fiancé met her and came home with nothing but wonderful things to say about her and the practice. That is what made me return for our next and ultimately our last visit. I will not be going back. I have never been treated nor spoken to in such a manner that I felt compelled to tell the world. You Dr. Heye should be ashamed of yourself. You have singly cost your practice a, what would have been a very loyal, client and if you had stepped out from the back of the office, I would have told you that myself, face to face! I can’t imagine that I have been neither the first, nor the last person you have cost your practice.

I've always taken my pets to see Dr. Heye and Dr.Hines. They've always been straight forward with me and what would be best for me pets. I trust them and their judgment. We also have our pets boarded there. Always a comfort knowing they have what they need while we are away.
