We brought our dog here for 6 years for basic care - immunizations, heart worm, etc. They are fine for that, but if your dog is sick, I don't recommend it. Our dog was sick and got progressively worse over a 3 month period. We saw Dr. Hanover at least 4 times and made numerous phone calls. Ultimately, another vet ended up diagnosing our dog with blastomycosis. Dr. Hanover brushed it off saying the varied symptoms were kennel cough, then arthritis, then an eye infection. He didn't take our concerns seriously and never put all the symptoms together to get a correct diagnosis. Our dog ended up losing her eye and almost her life. I do not recommend the Animal Hospital of Gurnee and we have since left their care.
