Failure to provide a refund after numerous request. Employees have provided me the amount of my refund due, but will not follow through with refund. In April 2018 I began a family membership. I paid for a full year in advance. At the application, I was told there was no contract and could cancel at any time. On 07-16-2018, my wife spoke with the manager and requested a refund and to cancel our membership. She was advised by Mr. Dodd that he had to get a total and he would call me. Mr. Dodd never called. On the 20th, I spoke with Dodd. He told me that he was that I was due $250 and a check would be written. He said he had to wait on Brenda and would talk with her. Brenda was in the office he just walked out of yet he made no effort to resolve the issue at that moment. He again told me he would call me. On the 23rd, I met with Dodd and ask about my refund. He said he was waiting on Brenda. I ask for Brenda number. He said she was on vacation, she wouldn't answer and he couldn't give me the number, but then gave me the number. I called Brenda. I explained that I had been waiting since the 16th for a refund and the lack of response. She told me she would call Mr. Dodd. As of this 7-27-2018, I have had not communication with Mr. Dodd or Brenda. My concern has increased after reading a complaint on Wellness.com. https://www.wellness.com/dir/2645000/health-club/galaxy-of-sports-galaxy-sports-club/kinston/nc This complaint is filed in August of 2015. The complaint is identical in it's allegation. It states subject wanted a refund, was told he could have his refund, yet was put off and passed back and forth between Brenda and Mr. Dodd. The company does not have a clear structure to allow me to continue to the next manager or supervisor level.

Staff was friendly however do not agree with being quoted 1 price over the phone and charged more during sign up. All the manager could respond was we have new employees that don't know after 5 people we charge $10 each additional person for the family plan and refused to honor the price we were quoted twice on the phone.

I joined Galaxy on 8/14/15 and have enjoyed the services. However due to a relocation of job I have had to cancel on 9/21/15. I have made MULTIPLE calls and spoken to MULTIPLE people regarding a reimbursement of the last two months as I paid three months in advance. I keep being told "I will have to talk to (so and so) and will call you back". Today is 9/29/15 and as of yet I have not received a single call back regarding this matter. I have just called and spoken to Brenda once again who told me a few days ago she would have to speak to Ann/Anna and would call back. Today Brenda says she needs to talk to AJ and she will call back after 12 noon. I reminded her that I have been told by her several times already that she would call me back and has yet to do so and I needed a resolution to this issue ASAP as I will be leaving for Mississippi in 5 days. The business office seems to be in total disarray and it does not appear that they value their customers. They certainly have been less than honest and helpful in this regard. Still attempting to be nice but a bit firmer.
