She was very patronizing and made commonsensical advice. Her patronizing attitude may be been due to overcompensation since she wasn't very intelligent compared to earlier psychologists and psychiatrists I have had. She is not very trustworthy either: she was inconsistent and blamed the problems of others on me.

I think Richards misdiagnosed me, and her diagnosis conflicted with more positive diagnoses I had received previously. I am unemployed right now, and she thought that I was externalizing my anger onto others and projecting my own problems onto others. This diagnosis was the opposite of what other psychologists toldl me. They said I internalized my anger at my family problems and this internalization led to my depression. They thought my parents projected their problems onto me, not that I projected my problems onto others. Dr. Richards was pretty uncharitable towards me, and I thought she misdiagnosed me because the other diagnoses stuck closer to the facts. Plus she said commonsensical things like "exercise more," which were not worth $120 per hour. I went to an Ivy undergrad and have a M.A. but she still was patronizing towards me. I stopped seeing her due to her misdiagnosis, her lack of warnth, her uncharitableness, her patronizing attitude.

I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about them making a mistake or forgetting something. They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around and you will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings are. Just as a side note, this business is really conveniently located and is close to everything. It is right off and freeway and close to all kinds of shops. I was able to do my shopping for the week right after my appointment. I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time.
