1) They billed my insurance for procedures not given. 2) They used incorrect billing codes submitting insurance claims were denied. They chose not to follow-up and tried to bill me instead. 3) They overbilled my co-pays and would not give me credit back. 4) They did not file some appts/services with my insurance and tried to bill me direct instead. 5) They're communication is poor within the billing department. No one truly seems to be in charge or take responsibility. 6) It took FOUR months to receive a billing statement. When it arrived it was filled with errors. Missing most of my co-pays, insurance payments and all my credits. 7) I made an appt w/Dr Raby to discuss the above issues and she said, "Well, at least you've enjoyed a few months of good care. Too bad we can't see you until you change your insurance company. Get Blue Cross. They don't make us work so hard to get paid." But my insurance covers my visits! All they needed to do was write the appeal, change to the proper codes and provided the requested documentation! She was over an hour late for my appt and wanted NOTHING to do with the billing issues and was quite OK to lose a patient unless they had Blue Cross. How "holistic" is that practice? 8) Now they're strong-arming me for payment of services that insurance will cover, but won't pay because Raby won't make the time to send the proper documentation nor follow-up according to the rules of the insurance company. Mind you, they chose to work with this insurance company.
I should have paid more attention while in their waiting room prior to appointments. It was a revolving door of patients calling or showing up in person to discuss billing issues. A majority of the time they never got answers and never spoke to the "person" in charge.
Don't join the revolving door of billing nightmares at the Raby Institute!
