horrible my wife hates this place , she feels rushed every time she has an appointment , never or rarely sees the dr , now the schedule just tells us that she does not have an opening on the day that they told us 5 months ago WTF this place is crazy all the good reviews are fake
In August of 2011, i was rushed by ambulance to San Antonio hospital for an emergency surgery. My uterus and right fallopian tube ruptured and I was literally on the verge of losing my life. Dr. Johnson's fast thinking and skilled hands not only saved my life, but he was able to save my uterus through repair... & the surgical incision on my lower abdomen is sooo small its hard to believe that such a big complicated surgery was done! Although due to HMO insurance reasons, i wasnt able to keep Dr. Johnson as my doctor, I often think about him and am so pleased and thankful that Dr. Johnson was the on-call that day. My follow up appt. with him was very pleasant as well. Thank you Dr. Johnson for saving my life.
I visited Dr. Franklin Johnson...I had pain on my left side off and on from adhesions for over 20 years when the pain got worse they also found a cyst on my left ovary as well. Dr. Johnson removed the cyst and adhesions and for the last two years I have been pain free, he also has wonderful bedside manners and was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions. He was never rude or rushful. I am extremely pleased and thankful that I found him. I would definitely recommend him and his staff in Upland and in Chino are very nice and helpful as well!
This place is a joke! Came to them for my first pregnancy in 2013. You see a different dr EACH time. I was 21 and married and got dirty looks and treated different from other older patients I saw and talked to in the waiting room. I'm very tall and weighed 160 at the time of being pregnant, flat out was told I was obese in a rude manner and need to start exercising. Just an overall terrible experience! Left them halfway through my pregnancy!!,
I only wish I read all of YELP reviews besides only their website before making a decision! I would click negative 10 stars if it were possible. I'd like to share my terrible experience at Care for Women Medical Group! I lived in Connecticut and recently moved back to California 2 wks ago. I was diligent with my research and looked at all the reviews for a Great OBGYN, someone that gave me the level of care that I needed since I am considered a "high risk pregnancy" at almost 6 month approx 23 1/2 weeks. I finally narrowed it down to Care for Woman's Medical Group in Upland, since reviews looked awesome and they are an affiliate of San Antonio Community hospital. I called the office to get as much information as possible, asked about what ins they accepted and what I would need to best prepare myself for the visit. It would be in 2 months from when I made the appt. I was so excited when I found out that they tailored to my insurance carrier, Anthem blue cross network PPO. Their office kept insisting that they accepted the carrier. I called several times while I was still in CT asking to pls verify my insurance so my first prenatal appt can run as smooth as possible, given the fact I'm moving across the country at almost 6 months ("high risk"). I also called 2 more times in the last 2wks prior to appt. Finally today, I was so excited for my appt to meet my new doctors. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to meet any doctor! Veronica is the only person I spoke to. I handed her all of my medical records and new patient application that I've filled out ahead of time. Veronica told me she has to go through some insurance info with me while I was standing at the reception window. She pointed out that there would usually be a 50$ copay, which is waived because I'm so far along in my pregnancy that it's already been verified that I'm pregnant. She goes down the line of what my responsibilities are for my delivery fees, my insurance will pay 80% I'm responsible for 20%, which I already knew before signing up with Anthem..... She goes on to tell me that the portion will be 500$ and that I would have to pay for doctors delivery fees today - right now at the window of reception desk before I can even be seen by a doctor, nurse etc etc.... I was appalled!!! I simply explained to her that I've never heard of such thing. I've never met any of their practitioners in their practice nor have they met me and would like me to pay for delivery fees for the baby still inside my belly?!?!? I completely understand if they would have wanted doctors fees prior to delivering my baby, but I haven't even been seen and I'm bombarded by fees I have not incurred. This gives me the impressions that this practice has absolutely no compassion for pregnant women nor do they cater to pregnant women because of their other cash cow services that they provide (plastic surgery.) Veronica asked me when I would be able to pay the 500$, I simply told her I can pay it on my next visit, just so I can see if I even like the office or get along with my new doctor, she told me well since you don't even know if you're staying with us, you need to pay something for this visit. I asked her why wasn't I told about this policy prior to my visit since I called several times to better prepare myself. I explained that it's not that I wouldn't stay, but I haven't had the chance to be seen!!! Veronica then said I will talk to my billing dept. and see what they can do. I sat down and waited. Veronica then called me up told me the only way they would see me is if I pay the 50$ copay for the visit.... I was shocked because this was the fee that she previously told me that was waived..... Then she continues to tell me it will go towards my delivery fees! I was unbelievably disappointed and disgusted by this office's bedside manner towards pregnant women. I kindly asked for all my medical records back and insurance and ID told her I never expected to be treated this way in a reputable OBGYN group especially being advertised all over Inland Empire as someone that cares!!! Now I have less than one week before my glucose test and have to research a new OBGYN group.
