I have been a client of Stephen's for 20 years and his work is beyond fabulous ! No one can color with as natural and brilliant a result as Steve can. His cuts are pure artistry and feel wonderful. Not only is his work exceptional, the conversation is fascinating, engaging, stimulating and enjoyable.

I have been coming to Steve for years. I would definitely recommend him to my friends. He is an outstanding colorist and stylist. When I read the other review bashing this salon, I thought it must be a mistake. I have only witnessed quality work ethical behavior at Steve's Hair Studio. They are the best!

I went in for the first time in this salon for an appointment with Paul. A very nice guy, but turns out he just got out of beauty school. He did a good job of coloring but I was nervous about having him cut my hair. The owner, Stephen came over and did some quick cutting on the top and sides to show him how to do it. Then told Paul how to cut the bottom length in back. The rest was not cut and I ended up with basically a half a haircut but charged full price. Also the owner, Stephen, came over to me when my hair color was timing and in front of everyone said, "You shouldn't have told him not to pull it through!!" I didn't know what he was talking about. Evidently Paul misunderstood the instructions from the owner Stephen and had color only on the roots of my hair. He corrected it but the owner did not apologize for chastising me in front of everyone in the shop. Weeks later I went back for a cut with Stephen, the owner, and it was not blended at all. Again, I got half a haircut. He also gave me bangs which I did not ask for. Nothing was blended and I had to go back to get him to blend what he cut. I asked him to section my hair because it's thicker and that works better. He would not do it and told me I didn't know what I'm talking about and that sectioning was outdated. He starting to blend it from one side to another and just kept taking more and more off to even out what he was cutting. He left the length long. He also refunded my money (which I did not ask for) for the first cut and then told me he would not be cutting my hair again. Which was fine by me. When I got home, he had cut everything so short but the very bottom length in back that it looked like I was wearing a cap. He was rude and arrogant. I would NOT recommend.
