Love HairScapes, though only one beautician there that we use and have been using for years. We get excellent service, comparative pricing and have found all the staff to be helpful and eager to please.

I went here and asked for a trim. I made it very clear that I was trying to grow my hair out, and all I wanted was a trim to keep it healthy. At first, she grabbed a piece of hair near the front of my face, trimmed about a quarter inch off, and said "see, I'm just going to take a little bit off." I agreed that that was an acceptable amount, and she proceeded to take a piece from the back of my head and cut off a full four inches. She also apparently decided that I needed bangs, and cut the front of my hair off at eyebrow length, which is right where they were ten months ago when I decided to try growing it out. At no point was I asked if this was okay. She also decided that my hair needed to be straightened, and while I wouldn't have much of a problem with this normally, someone (who I can only assume was a friend of hers) came to talk to her while she was doing it which apparently distracted her, and she kept a piece of my hair clamped in the straight iron until it started burning and I had to pull my head away. Also, it's pretty apparent now that she did not take into account the fact that my hair has a natural wave. Without being straightened (which I don't want to do often, because it's highly damaging to hair, and there's no point in trying to get damaged hair to grow) it looks absolutely ridiculous.

In short, she completely disregarded my wishes and undid ten months of progress. I obviously won't be going to any salon in the next few months, but when I finally need a trim again, I definitely will not be getting it here.

It's shocking how little they seem to care about customer service. From my experience It appears as if customers are never put first here. The staff is incredibly rude and seem to care more about themselves. I would never visit Hair Scapes again. I was very disappointed. I was treated terribly. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else. They weren't friendly at all. They were extremely rude and impolite. Their prices were not fair at all. They were extremely overpriced and I felt ripped off.
