Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend them to my friends or family. Don't get me wrong-this use to be the best braid shop around. I had been going there since about 1996 when they were on Old Augusta Rd. in the white house. But since the personnel has changed lately, it's just not the same. I went for some wet and wavy micros. I didn't know that they were braided about half an inch to my scalp and that the parts were so big that when I put it down that you could still see them through the hair. The back is so short that I can't put it up into a ponytail-which is required for work so I have to put it in a scarf. My back braids are curled up like little coils. Needless to say that I am VERY disappointed. I could've gotten this done on the streets for about $80. I went to them so a professional could do it and the result would be flawless-thus getting them to last about 2-3 months. A couple of braids have already fallen out. IF I go back, I will request that Edith does my hair because that's too much money for it not to be the way it should be.

They make an extra effort to get to know their patients and find out what they need. They always remember me and make me feel very important. I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. They're really great about taking their time with me, and they don't mind answering my questions. I've never felt like an annoyance to them no matter how many questions I have. They had a huge selection of magazines in the waiting room. I was able to find some of my favorites and they kept me entertained while I was waiting for my appointment.

When comparing them to others I have visited for the same condition, they are among the best I have seen. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I've ever seen. Their prices were very fair. The level of care you get for the price is outstanding. I will definitely recommend them to people I know.
