I used Making Waves twice. The first time, I had Nikki color my hair, it came out fine. The second time was totally different and unacceptable. I left the salon with my hair wet and was stunned when it dried. The color was totally off.
Now, for Nikki's customer service. Everything I am writing now pertains to the second experience. First, I wanted an appointment. I called the salon and left a message on their voice recorder. Nikki NEVER answered that message. 1 week later, I text Nikki on her cell phone. Nikki responded with, "I don't check messages at the salon, always call or text me on my cell". (???) She gave me apologies and excuses as to why she doesn’t check messages ta the salon. I made the second appointment and on the morning of the appointment I text Nikki twice on her cell phone but no answer. I just needed to verify the time. THERE WAS NO ANSWER AGAIN. I called the salon once, no answer. I called a second time and the phone was answered my a co-worker who offered to call Nikki for me. The co-worker called me back and I was finally able to get a hold of Nikki.
After the unacceptable color job, I notified Nikki and sent a picture of my hair, asking her what happened? She did say she would fix it. When I text her for a “fix-it” appointment again, no answer. I am starting to think this woman is a total flake. 2 days later, I text her again. She finally answered and gave me her accuses and apologies again as to why she didn’t answer my text.
I had hoped to get in on Saturday and had Nikki answered my texts, I could have come on Friday. But, Nikki didn’t answer my texts and stated she couldn’t get me in on Saturday. I then stated my displeasure with this continuing saga and asked Nikki to just refund my money and we could be done. Nikki stated she would refund $65 in writing. When the refund arrived, it turns out Nikki had too much time to think and so she refunded only $55. It should be noted that Nikki stated she was charging $15 for a cut. Nikki had text me she would refund the color but not the cut, understandably. When she shorted me the $10, she stated she originally discounted the cut because she liked me.
I guess she was stating that she now disliked me and so she was upping the price on the cut retroactively. Nikki was NOT HONEST with her word, was quite NASTY to me in her texts and totally unreliable. I will be reporting this incident to DORA. Consumers Beware.

Absolutely. The stylist was very careful to make sure I stayed completely dry.

I have been a client of Mary Alice for years. She always provides professional and friendly service. The equipment they used was very advanced. It was safe and well taken care of. I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I was so impressed by how caring and attentive they were. They were happy to help me right away with whatever I needed.
