Dr. Elissa and the clinic have been a wonderful fit for me and my
journey in healing my body after having my first baby and a high
stress job and personal life. With their kind, logical and intuitive
approach the combination of nutritional counseling and Dr. Elissa as
my primary care provider helped me to recover from difficult symptoms
associated with Hashimotos, and, later, move on to a healthy second
pregnancy and baby. I rely on this clinic as my home base for any
medical concerns as well as a place where I can feel grounded in
myself as I take on some of the longer term commitments required to
maintain my health. The offices are in a very warm, naturally clean
and green building in a convenient location that makes it easy for me
to stop by for supplements in between appointments. I really trust Dr.
Elissa to help me or point me in the right direction when specialized
treatment is needed. I highly recommend Amenda clinic for a whole body and healthy-mind approach to healing.

Thanks for your help Elissa.

I had difficulty sleeping, and am doing much better. I am far more aware of the things that effect my sleep, including the initial cause.

I had met Dr. Mendenhall outside of the medical arena through a mutual friend. However, after several interactions with her I saw what a grounded individual she was and decided to try her out when I needed medical attention. I have seen her for several issues over the last few years, all of which I feel now are well under control and/or cured. She is engaged, kind, accessible and straightforward.

I have visited Dr. Mendenhall for a variety of ailments during the past five years. She has performed body work on me in order to re-align my neck, upper back and ribs. I started suffering from allergies and asthma approximately two years ago. She walked me through a very thorough test to determine some of the causes of the allergies and asthma, and she provided me with alternative treatments for both. Dr. Mendenhall also created a flower essence tincture for me to help with my mood when I was going through a difficult time in my personal life and I was suffering from anxiety and situational depression. Dr. Mendenhall is a good listener and she is very knowledgeable about her areas of practice. I strongly recommend her.

I have been very happy with Dr. Mendenhall, who is my Primary Care Provider. She uses a combination of knowledge and intuition which works incredibly well. I feel better than I have in years as a result of her care. I would recommend her unconditionally, and often refer friends and family her way.

I have been a regular patient of Dr. Mendenhall's since August of 2008. I had been seeing one of Portland's most prominent Naturopaths for the previous five years and felt that we had reached a plateau with my particularly challenging condition. In the years that Dr. Mendenhall has been treating me, I have found her to be patient, thoughtful, resourceful, considerate, compassionate, kind, and helpful. Contrary to my experience with most doctors, when I am with Dr. Mendenhall, I never have less than her absolutely undivided attention and never feel that she's rushed or distracted. I have also found that I am always able to schedule an appointment in a timely manner (without having to wait for six weeks) and that she is always ready for me when I arrive. When I have urgent needs, I know that I can depend on her accessibility. Dr. Mendenhall's persistence, close observation, and ability to think outside the box are the strengths with which I am most impressed. In dealing with my difficult condition, she has explored many avenues and asked many questions which have gone neglected by a score of previous physicians of all types. Finally, I feel it important to say, that I know Dr. Mendenhall to be a scrupulously honest person of impeccable integrity, perfectly prepared to take responsibility for any error or miscommunication of her own. I have referred a number of people to her for treatment, including my mother, and confidently continue to do so.

My appointment with Dr. Mendenhall was basically fine. i saw her at her sellwood location which is pretty rinky dink but that's not a big deal. she wasn't ready for me when i arrived but once we got started she seemed to listen well and the information she offered was fine. however, once it got to billing and payment i was VERY disappointed. she sent me an email two days after my appt. stating i owed her $150 because my insurance deductible hadn't been met for the year. i asked if i could make sure because i had just seen my regular doctor the friday before i saw her and i didn't want to over pay because of slow processing of my insurance company. she said that was fine. i then looked at the "bill" she sent me. it had a list of service charges that she bills for and a total but didn't actually state what she was charging me for. when i asked about it she said that is her "super bill" with everything she does, it's meant to be helpful, yadda yadda yadda. i then asked her specifically what she charged me for and the total cost of my visit. she emailed me back, did not tell me what services she charged me for, just the cost of my visit and suggested we discuss it on the phone. i called my insurance company. turns out, my deductible was met (based on my previous appt.s with other providers and this appointment with mendenhall) and that she actually billed the insurance company for more than the quoted price of the appt. that she gave me. i really think she was trying to scam me for more money and wanted me to pay before the insurance company did so she could get more money out of me. i felt like her "billing" was vague and a sneaky way to get more money out of me or my insurance. when i confronted her with the info from my insurance company and told her what i would be paying she just simply said that should take care of it with no explanation of why she told the insurance co. the cost of my appt. was more than she told me. I do not trust this woman and the direction she gave me at my appt. was very basic, nothing i wouldn't have done on my own anyway.
