let me tell you what I KNOW and have found out ! I see another side of this LOVING HOME. Mike is the(director) of this place. He is a great man. (I kinda like him). He knows how to run a well-oiled machine. He is different, (likeable different) he is very loving and even smiles,,thats unusual, more about him later, He cares, like all the people I am going to name that work there. Rachel her smile is something to be held, Carmin, Kiara (director of nursing) Sara (social worker), Jordan and so many, many more they all are concerned, and care for everyone in the home, I know they even care for me, now that's something. My wife is recovering there. Mike must have an unusual loving wife, she must be a beautiful person!!! Along with Mikko and Jasman, there two dogs. Mike is a people person. He likes people ! I can't go anywhere without getting a hug from Carmin, Kiara is a great person, I like her much. Jordan is just fantastic, she smiles too. As a matter of fact they all smile ----that is different------Whatever their on, I want some of that !!!! They are a great family working together lovingly for the benefit of the people who need care !! The building is NOTHING. The people are EVERTHING !! that work there----Just one BIG LOVING FAMILY. That's MY story and I am sticking to it. Gary Van Sickle

awful place. patient pushes help button at 7:00am and at 9:00am no one has yet to show up. Breakfast arrives at 8:30 and is cold.. These things happen daily. I would not recommend this place to my enemy. I can't wait for her to be moved so that she can get better care and attention.

Woodlyn Heights is an old-fashioned, family friendly environment. I visited the transitional program which is separate from the nursing home facilities. It was very difficult to get answers to questions. I would ask the nurse a question that was better answered by the OT, but she would not pass on my concern. It often took asking the same question of 5 different people

My father has been in this home for only a week and it has been nothing but down hill. He is there for hospice care and we have discovered a lot of things that are wrong. My father is suppose to be on oxygen 24 hours and has two big tanks by his bed. It was discovered that the hose on his tank was not long enough to reach the bathroom so he was going into the bathroom without oxygen and than not being able to get off the toilet because he had no oxygen and was weak. He does have a cup for him to urinate but that was in the bathroom and not next to his bed. They are keeping him on Morphine to improve his breathing and he is very confused but they have him down as independent.
I went and saw him and discovered a pill on the floor. i asked the nurse what it was and she said it was a pill for his stomach. I then looked and saw a med cup on the floor so my father must have knocked the pill off his table. Why wasn't someone there to see that he took it. He also gets medicine through a nebulizer and he was sleeping when I walked in and not getting his medicine.
We are in the process of looking for a different place before this damn place kills him.
