This facility is horrible. It is their policy to NOT USE Depend undergarments or even use a towel. My husband was there for approximately 2 weeks and was rushed to a local hospital and is currently in the ICU with infections and sepsis due to the neglect of the staffThe nurse at the hospital reported that he was absolutely filthy. He had bed sores from the filth and not being turned. She also reported that Wellington hills had not been supplying him with enough calories. On the first night they "forgot" to put him on the cpap machine to aid with his breathing. I was yelled at by a nurse that said they were extremely short handed. I spoke with the director of nursing and she told me they were actually overstaffed. Prior to his release from my husbands original hospitalization, the director visited him in the hospital and told us that he would admit my husband to Wellington Hills. 3 days later the same director called me and told me they were evicting him. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and then the director snapped at me and said,"HE'S GOING TO DIE ANYWAY!!" which was NOT THE PROGNOSIS of the hospital. In my opinion Wellington Hills is an absolute nightmare. The bathroom had an old dried up bar of soap on the sink. No paper towels to dry your hands and was filthy. We were forced to place him there since we had no insurance and there was only 2 nursing homes that would take vent patients. Oklahoma rates 49th of the worst in nursing home care. Wellington Hills is a prime example of this rating. I called the Eufaula police to file a report but told me the only way I could file one was to drive 2 hours to the police department. I called the State Police and asked to file one with them and the directed me to file one with the Sherrif which would not take a report either. Eufaula should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this nursing home to operate in their town. I have reported this to every agency I could find and until my dying breath I will tell everyone how horrific this facility and director are.
