I worked at the Homestead as a professional for over 10 years. A very clean facility equipped for advanced acute medical and rehabilitation needs. But poor Staff morale and incompetent leadership affects care. Finger Lakes Health desires to hire the best, but lacks the management, competency and quality standards to retain them. Sadly, the Director of Nursing at The Homestead has been a position of ongoing troubles and organizational sludge for a number of years. Nurses, Physicians, Professionals and Staff do not respect the administration beyond a handful of "pets." This is evidenced by the number of Physicians and Clinicians who have left over the last five years. Resident care will always come second to the facility's desire to "look good," and I have seen more than a few disturbing items with respect to Resident rights, dignity and treatment. I suggest that folks shop around a bit, not be too fast to judge this book by it's cover.

Not really, I've never seen them go above and beyond

Not at all; the equipment is dangerous!

Definitely not! It was obvious they just wanted to make money!
