The first thing I noticed was the smell! It smelled like poop when you went past the front going into the back where the residents are. The long term pts are sitting around in wheelchairs not being stimulated at all looking drugged out. The rehab facility must be their bread and butter! I didn't see a single pt. They must keep them in their rooms and when you look in a room the pts are behind a wall lying in their beds. I went during the week during the day. I would have thought to see a nurse, aid and maybe a rehab person working with someone. I saw nothing! I was very disappointed and would never send my parent to Jeffersontown Rehab for anything! They are just not very professional; but, they try to sell a good game.

The rooms in the rehab facility are depressing and not patient friendly. (ie:) 1. Beds sit behind wall, blocking way to allow patients to look out.
2. Clocks on walls can't be seen by patients. 3. Television blocked by closet on wall. 4. Not enough chairs in room, a recliner for patient, and just one other chair. 5. Need cushion in recliner for patient, sitting in for some period of time is not comfy on patients bottom. 6. Need to plant flowers or something around big green transformer. 7. First week I did the laundry for my mother in law, we had several items that did not belong to her, and she has plenty of her own clothes in the closet and draws.
