This is a dog and pony show! They are not equipped to handle an Alzheimer's patient or anyone who is a fall risk. They say they are but it is not true. The first or second night he was there a nurse walked right by me in the room, jabbed a spoonful of my father's ground up medicine in applesauce in his mouth while he was sound asleep scaring the hell out of him! She turned around to leave so fast she never looked back to see if he swallowed it, spit it out or choked on it! This was right in front of me! You can't get a bed alarm, they didn't or wouldn't provide a walker or wheelchair for my father. We had to find a wheelchair ourselves in the building to be able to take him to the cafeteria. They just said , well someone would have to go to the warehouse to get one. He was in a room with a guy that would turn the TV up full blast all night long with all the lights on. When we asked them to see about turning the TV down they said that other man had rights. I brought my father a radio and it was barely turned up. They told my sister to turn it down because it was bothering his roommate! She said what about my fathers right to a peaceful night's sleep? Can you here his radio, they said no and were standing right in front of it! The cafeteria continues to give him whole meat that he cannot chew with no molars, and he is supposed to be on mechanically ground meat! The noodles with the meatballs were crunchy just like the rice they are mixing in the sausage. The floors in the hallway are polished every day but we walked on sticky floors in dad's room for over a week not to mention the Bowel Movement that was left on the floor and they would just walk over top of it. When I pointed it out to a nurse so she wouldn't step in it and slip, she sent someone in to clean it up. They just took out one of the roomates wet wipes and wiped up most, but not all of it! Yesterday my sister and mother went there to find his hand and arm swollen and hurting all the way up to his elbow. They act like they don't know how this happened and immediately said he didn't fall or we would have a ton of paperwork to fill out. Sounds like somebody just doesn't want to fill out paperwork. They took hours to get him a simple ibuprofen for the swelling, got no x-ray until I raised the roof. Didn't even ask if he was hurt anywhere else! Tried to say my mother was ok with him just waiting until today to have an x-ray and see the Dr. but the truth is they did not give that 90 yr. old woman an option! Then they have the audacity to say they care about my father! If I here they are short staffed one more time I will scream. Maybe if they weren't having a party at the nurses station till 11:30 at night they could provide some patient care! I know because I was still there and the only person I saw checking on patients was a Tech and it was here first night there. She was trying to whisper to ask them questions about where this or that patient belonged and they were just yelling down the hallway. They all tell us something different, no matter what is being asked about, What time is breakfast, what time are visiting hours, etc.? My sister and mother have gone every morning since he was put in there to feed him breakfast and lunch to make sure is eats. They showed up at the usual time a few days ago and no one would open the door for them. Then they had to get dad up and get him to the cafeteria. The cafeteria woman in charge would not even speak to them, she just pointed to a table with three other workers sitting there on their personal phone calls. My sister asked them to get him his food and was told they were 30 min. late to the cafeteria so he would have to eat in his room. She told them they were late because no one would let them in and he would be eating in the cafeteria! These people do not care about the residents! Dad was only supposed to be going in for rehab and to get his strength back up after a hernia surgery. The VA provided braces for his legs a couple yrs ago. They are so hard to get on and off the PT's struggle and it takes about 30 min. to get them on. Now they have cut his legs all up trying to get them on and off! If I could give less than one star I would! The only way they could have more than one star is if people that put their loved one in there never actually spend any time there or their loved one can speak up for themselves! unfortunately an Alzhiemer's patient struggle to do that or express any of his thoughts coherently. I would not recommend the VA nursing home in Murfreesboro, Tn. at all! I am providing my Name and contact info. because I wish someone from the government would actually act like they give a rats ass about my father and the rest of the service men and women that end up in that place!

They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously. They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. The waiting area here is extremely spacious. There is never overcrowding and everything is spaced appropriately. As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They went out of their way to make me feel special and appreciated.

Not really, it could be better
Did you spend a lot of time in the waiting room at this provider's office?
The wait wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best
Does this provider leave you on hold for a long time when you call?
I usually have to wait on hold for quite a while, but not as long as some other places
