This is a sad looking place with no sitting area to visit with my resident friend. Food looks poor -- canned vegetables, nothing fresh. She is not even allowed to sit outdoors. There is nothing home-like about the environment. As far as I can see, outings are rare and activities are minimal.

Our family would like to extend our deepest appreciation and gratitude for all the never ending support and loving care our Brother received during his stay at the Sunset Health Care Nursing Home.

Your Staff is remarkable! Their concern and knowledge in caring for him allowed us to have a better understanding as to what our Brother was going through and how to deal with it every step of the way.
The Sunset Health Care Nursing Home was the guardian angel for our Brother, he was very comfortable and enjoyed the dignity and respect that was shower upon him.

May God bless you all for your compassion and kindness.

Did this provider ever take personal phone calls while in the appointment room with you?
Yes! He/she took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.

They don't treat their clients equally at all, and only make time for their favorite clients. When comparing them to others in their field, I would say they are by far the worst I have ever seen. I will never return. I plan on telling everyone I know about how terrible this nursing home is. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I know the place very well and they do not treat all the residents the same yes they do have favorites, heck they would let certain residents go 3-4 days without bathing them because they didnt really care for the resident, or they just wouldnt pay attention to certain residence at times. They were also the same way with the employees, they had their favorites there also if any of us needed to be assisted to help with a resident they were more happier to help their favorites the the other staff. I was terminated from there and I am very glad at this time that I was but it was a very unbiased reason. I had got a virus (open air virus) from a patient who they did not have in an area where he was alone and when my doctor and I had figured that out we both had called my DON and told her that i had gotten the virus and would be in the hospital, well she put me down as a 3 day no call no show and that is how I got terminated. that is why I know they dont treat their residents or employees well at all!!!!!

The staff must have not been trained very well. Almost every time I would ask them a question, they'd refer me to their boss or someone else. They left me completely alone for a long time and I became very nervous. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions.

They probably could have used some continuing education courses to get up-to-date on more current methods. My appointments get canceled here a lot. I usually just go to someone else in the area because I can't count on them ever. I am not going to refer my family and friends here. I just wasn't that impressed.
