Risen Son is a beautiful facility. I've been in other facilities. They are like living in a hospital. Risen Son has a beautiful living area where you feel at home. My mother hated the facility because it wasn't home, however after she was sent to Bethany she wanted to go back to Risen Son.

do not take your loved ones here. The nursing care is now replaced by another agency not employed there due to poor administration that could care less. They are short staffed constantly and give no thanks to staff that show up with no help especially on the weekends. Social services nurses and DON sit and do nothing to come in and do their part at all. The serving tables for food are disgusting and dirty. Their is no supervision for the dietary staff and you hear them complaining for good reason and bad. Some get their way and don't have to work on a Sunday due to church??? Others have to babysit? I don't think so. They should be there like the others in every area. Residents are put in areas where they don't belong and it's all about money, not any Christian way at all. It's a bold face lie.

The facility is beautiful and they take great care of my mother. I love the staff. They do a great job and are very friendly.

They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. One of the first things I noticed about this business was the level of detail and attention to make the building handicap-accessible. Even the bathrooms were designed to be accessible with doors wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and grab bars in the stalls. You could tell they really made an effort to accommodate people with all different needs. Not only did I find a parking spot right away, but I knew my car was safe because the spots were designated and close to the entrance. Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it.
