We were told that Providence was one of the best facilities in the area! Our family member has been there almost 3 months and it has been a tremendously challenging and heart wrenching experience! It didn’t start out immediately like this but things grew progressively worse and continue to. They are extremely understaffed and the aides are overworked which means the residents are not getting proper care! They can wait for at least 30 minutes to be taken to the bathroom and at least that long to be helped off the toilet! Most nights when we are visiting, there is only one aide taking care of approx. 20 patients! Most times we have to walk the halls in search of an aide when we need help! We all work during the day so I can’t comment on the care then. What happens to the residents that don’t have daily visitors? We understand this is a tough industry and Medicare rules can make things more difficult but if you are in the business of care and rehab, you need to do it….or don’t admit more patients than you can handle. No one deserves treatment like this!!

I feel at ease seeing my Mother in such a clean, well cared for environment. The staff is so good to her and she keeps a smile on her face most of the time. I am very thankful for the Sisters and staff that have embraced my Mother and her well-being. The activities and interaction between caregivers and the patients are awesome. I pray every day giving thanks to all concerned with her physical and mental well-being. Thank you just does not cover the emotions and gratitude I feel within. Good Bless one and all.
