Their website is misleading; it is more like a nursing home. I placed a loved one at this facility for rehabilitation but during rehabilitation all the staff wanted to do was keep her in a wheelchair and they would reprimand her if she wanted to walk. She also ended up having to be hospitalized. The facility has a history of flooding which they failed to disclose and they have been cited by the Illinois Department of Public Health. I have witnessed some of the staff making fun at the dementia care unit patients on the lower level. One of them in particular who had a history of agitation, I witnessed a CNA laughing at her and purposely agitating the poor lady. The lady I write about had been hospitalized because she allegedly hit a staff member. However after what I witnessed, I wonder what really happened. There are many other facilities and rehabilitation centers in the area to go to or to place your loved one.
