This place is disgusting!!!! My parents put my grandfather there because it was covered by the VA and the place is a disgrace!!! The 2 months while he was there he lost 20lbs, he no longer walks because he has no strength. My mother has called and left a message 4 times for the director of the facility and he has not returned her calls. Now my grandfather is at the VA with a broken hip because they neglected to tell my parents that he fell and if he didn't fall I calling it abuse because he has bruises all over him. I don't uunderstand how people can treat another human being like that. You r there to take care of seniors and make sure they r kept healthy and safe that's what you get paid to do and u can't even do that. These people should be ashamed. Believe me we r going to make this abuse known and we r bringing this to the attention of the VA and see if we can get their funding pulled! We r livid!!!! I would also like to say that last night we went to another facility because my parents couldn't take it anymore and he was in so much pain they gave him an X-ray and found his hip was broken. We call Morgan and the nurse Kendra couldn't answer my mother when she was asked why did u tell me he fell. So today he is being taken care of and the administrator and the director of the new facility have called to check on him and r welcoming him back with open arms to rehabilitate him!!! Also my mother was told that 3 more residents were moved from Morgan to this new facility because loved ones couldn't take it anymore! Morgan u should be ashamed!!!

Being the first time placing a loved one in a nursing home, my family had many questions/concerns and hesitations. When Mom was is the hospital, we were quickly introduced to the world of "long term care." We gathered together and jotted down as much as we could think of. Upon admission, we started right away with questions! The nurse admitting my Mom was very pleasant and helpful. We immediately felt welcomed and calm! As our questions progressed to topics not in her realm of practice, she directed us to the proper departments, who were all available and prompt with coming up to meet us! We left our mother that evening knowing she was in good hands. She was there for quite some time, my Mother as well as our family grew a bond and had great relationships with the staff in all departments. To come in every day and be greeted by everyone with a "hello!" or "good morning!" was such a nice feeling! Like home!!! It's a family there and we were ever so grateful. Mom has since passed, and Dad became ill. We immediately thought of Morgan, we had no doubts! I will be always thankful of the welcoming, comfort, care and acceptance of this facility. I thank them all!

I wish I knew rhode island dph gave this " facility" a one star rating.
After the experience my mother had at this place. I don't know how the state even gave it one star . on this website if I could rate it less than one star ... no stars... I would .
I felt my mother received horrible negligent care by the minimally educated staff employed here. Try finding the ONE nurse on the floor for over 30 patients.... " the other nurse" was always out sick. After a couple of weeks I never saw any " other nurse". A few cna's , a Med tech that couldn't answer any about medicines. Cna's were classless, few spoke English clearly enough to understand, no care in the way they care for patients. just rushed around just to get their work over with,.... repositioned my mother like they were moving a piece of furniture or a trash can. I noticed the same level of care when they were with other patients. one cna snapped at a gentleman she was feeding because he didn't chew and swallow food fast enough.
I saw patients not bring allowed to finish meals becauae no one could take the time to feed them .
I almost always found my mother in bed/ wheel chair in her diaper saturated with urine or feces. if I came un the mid to late afternoon most patients were in dirty clothes, perhaps with food from lunch hours earlier, but no one can be bothered to change a patient's shirt and find it okay to leave them in dirty clothes. That is if they bother to get them our of their Johnny at all. I worry for the patients that have no family looking in on them.

The place over all isn't too clean, it smells heavily of old urine quite often.
Beds and wheelchairs i've seen dried feces on , and still there the next day even after I made the nurse aware of it.

The nurses always claim to be unaware of anything regarding my family member..." oh I didn't get that from report". no nurse here ever gets any info
in their shift to shift reports. The evening shift I could never find anyone
to answer a question or get a glass of water. But when I leave at night, half the staff is outside smoking, or in hallway corners on their cellphonrs, or in the lobby watching dancing with the stars.

Just before i desised to transfer my family member out of this " facility",
I asked to meet with the supervisor director of nursing. She was useless,
disinterested, and unaware of why my parent was even there. Unprofessional, arms full of tatoos, long stringy dirty hair. I am NOT kidding.
If this is the image the staff here is to look up to, well it explains alot.

my parent developed a high fever never called her doctor, so I demanded she go to the hospital where found to have a double pneumonia and a kidney infection . Great going Morgan Health center.

We didn't return to Morgan .

How this place is allowed to remain open is amazing .
The state should be ashamed to keep this open.
The Morgan staff should all be in jail for elderly neglect or not reporting
how bad care is to the state.

Place is dirty
