if I could give them a 0 I would. My mother went there Dec. 20 2017 and was admitted to St. Mary's twice in that time. She wasn't eating properly because the food there is terrible takes almost 3 hours to get food and when you do it is stone cold and inedible. My mother resorted to eating cottage cheese and peaches because they could get that right when they brought silverware. They do not change depends only once a day if that and they let her cathedar tube (when hanging in restroom) open end on the filthy bathroom floor. The social worker Pauline is useless and doesn't want to do her job. They packed my mom's things for her and I asked about 7 times to make sure her quilt was there, well sup-rise surprise it wasn't and when I called to tell them they were going to call me back when they located it I GUESS NOT. We have since moved my mom to a new facility and she is eating, gaining weight and socializing. The doctors were preparing us for her dying when she was at The Villa, but the improvement is wonderful after getting her out of there. I WOULD NOT TAKE MY DYING DOG TO THE VILLA. People steer clear of this place.

So my dad has been here almost a full week! This place disgusts me! There food is horrible they are feeding people bread hard as a rock my dad was supposed to have assistance eating I come in to find him alone! The staff is rude, you people give nurses and CNA's a bad name!!

So my dad was recently admitted to this rehab facility, he got in a little late so that had to ask kitchen staff to prepare him something extra, which they did which was a cheese sandwich not toasted with cheese slapped on it not even melted!! The I set up a conference call with admissions for two days later and never received a call!! I was trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt being that the last time he was here I was not happy at all, and being that his insurance will not cover most places. I get that it is a lot of work to take care of these patients but they deserve the best care they need!!!!

My frail mother was there for 8 weeks after she broke her hip because Midddleton Village is an in-network provider for Humana Gold. We were concerned the negative ratings online but the staff brought her from bedridden to walking with a walker. The staff is competent, open and friendly. I concede the physical plant is somewhat dated and staffing is limited but they do what is needed. The cost for care is approximately $100 a day less than some other facilities in Madison. My mother liked the place. It is a great place for people who need rehabilitation. I did talk to some long-term care patients there and they liked the place. Most of the patients are there for rehabilitation and there are very few dementia patients.

My mother is currently in rehab here from knee replacement surgery. She hates it. She has been there nearly a month and hasn't gotten the rehab that she needs. Most of the therapists don't seem to care about her and there are many. Three years ago, she recovered from her other knee surgery here. Her experience then was very positive. She loved her therapist and was there for 15 days. She got hours of therapy a day. Now, she has many therapists and they do very little therapy, which is the reason for the extended stay. Her knee simply isn't ready. I would never recommend this place. She's had two showers total. They are grossly understaffed and leave people in doorways and hallways until they have time to move them. People are falling out of bed all the time. There are few good nurses and staff, but they are few and far between.
