My nana was here for about 5 years...I think they tried the best they could with what they had, but when I look back I feel guilty that we put her there. It is a very hospital like environment, and it always smelled terrible. I never saw any activities going on, except for when they would sit everyone in front of the tv. There was nothing more heart breaking than seeing my nana waste away in the TV room. Their security is terrible- she escaped multiple times from the alzheimers unit. Maybe it's better now...this was back in the early 2000's. It was a pretty depressing experience, and I always hated going.
