Staff seems to place no value on residents in nursing care. Aides yell to each other across dining area, disregarding the seniors around them. No respect. While assisting my love one, I made the cafeteria worker aware of 2 residents who were never fed. Aides were already taking other residents to their rooms. After a minute of their finger pointing, one grumbling aide sat down to feed them. If you question your loved ones care, you are reported to the head staff and are watched. There is no consideration for the family - who aren't sure if their loved one will even be alive for a next visit. My love one has at least one bed sore and, within 6 months of her arrival, looks like she is being starved. She has no medical reason for weight loss and had never had a bed sore prior to her stay here. I have witnessed staff laughing at residents who are not mentally sound.

It started out pretty good for my mother. The biggest problem was the night nurse named Jackie. She was cold and indifferent to my mother. I complained about her several times. The last time the administrator told me she couldn't make Jackie like my mother. I said I didn't expect her to but a little compassion would be nice. She told me I could move my mother to a different wing. My mother was very sick and I felt like moving her at that time would not be a good idea. After Jackie told my poor sick mother that she was the only problem she had on her shift. Well, luckily for Jackie my mother passed away March 13. Now her shift should be problem free.

I want to know if this is the Live Oak where a lady passed away and there was no call button or is there another Live Oak. Not trying to tarnish your facility but want to know which it was.
