My mother stayed here a few times when she broke her wrist and later her shoulder. The staff and facilities were fine, but with any nursing home, it's important that family visit frequently to ensure the level of care being administered meets their expectations.

The Lighthouse has become disgusting since under the recent management of Genesis. My mother has been a resident for nearly 5 years. Initially it was good but began a downward spiral about 3 years ago. It has recently hit rock bottom.
The food is inedible and I wouldn't feed it to wild animals. My mother refuses to eat and I don't blame her. The management gives the excuse that my mother's food needs to be chopped/ground but I find this no reason for it to look, feel, and taste revolting.
It used to be clean but no longer is. I find plastic gloves, paper towels, tissues, straws, etc. strewn on the floor. Last night the bathroom floor was covered with what had been in the bucket the night before.
A once happy staff is now deminished, abrupt, and fearful of their jobs. It is nearly impossible to speak with a nurse or doctor. The social worker is cold and abrupt.
I am at my wit's end and am ready to go to the newspapers.

All the time! the waiting rooms are always packed and It seems as if they are more concerned about quantity over quality

No, If I had known how terrible they were I never would have gone.

Definitely not. They seem to care more about themselves
