This nursing home has poor quality of care. My family member waitied over an hours several times in the evening to receive help to the bathroom falling twice. It has also been reported that you will never see the administrator walking the halls of the facility. I feel that this is a horrible way to run a business. Administration and certainly the administrator should be making daily walks to assist and become aquainted with the residents and the family members. The staff uniforms always appear to be clean however the shoes that staff wear are street shoes and appear grungy. This is a major concern considering many germs travel on the shoes that they are wearing. I have also noticed that no one ever rinces my mother in laws nebulizer pipe. This is disgusting! A nebulizer helps a person with breathing problems to breathe better coughing up junk that may be situated in the lung not rinsing this piece of equiptment is keeping all the germs sitting until the next use. My wife has also tried to speak with the long term manager many times however she is pretty set in her ways and refuses to listen to reason she provides very poor customer service. The housekeeping department is very neat in appearance and kind as well as helpful. I have been helped more by housekeeping then the cna or nursing staff. I have also been told that my wife is not allowed to eat a meal with her mother even if she pays for it. A purchased meal is only provided for a spuse. How many nursing home residents still have living spouses? I can understand not providing meal tickets for a whole family but one family member per resident should be allowed to eat a meal with the mother or father sister or brother of the person living in a home. My wife and I are looking for a placement at this time.
