Please! If you have a choice, don’t put your loved one in this facility. My husband needed to be reevaluated and request by family was on his chart and doctor totally ignored it. Never met the doctor. If he came in, which I doubt, why not the reevaluation? Talked to administration and never once looked at us in the eye. Head always down when we asked questions. I was notified at 7AM that my husband died at 6:45AM. I was not notified how near death he was and I believe he was never checked on through the night or his condition would have been noted. They do only enough to get by as they are short staffed. When I mentioned this to administrator, he denied that. When we went in one day, sheets and underwear on floor. Room in disarray. So sorry this place is on VA list for vets. They deserve better.

When my mom first entered into this facility 5 yrs ago, there was more aides and a more caring atmosphere, Your questions and concerns were addressed in a timely manner. Slowly it has disintegrated into a "smile in your face" and a "don't care attitude" behind your back. Health issues for my mom has been a major issue. Ex: Urine on floor from unchanged Depends is a issue because no one checks to see if she is wet, which will lead to body sores and other health issues. The constant changes in personnel is a definite telling point in this facility. It's easier to find someone to help you at "Walmart" than it is to find an "aide" or a nurse after ringing for someone. Both takes about the same time. And that's not meant to be funny, just a true statement!

Last place you really want to be, the staff are all very courteous and helpful. There are no frills attached to the stay here. If you want something in general you don't have to wait long for a caretaker to answer your call.

this is the worst nursing home in the state of va....the employees are rude, patients neglected, boot leg all the way....i woudnt let a dog stay in this place!!!!!!

The staff is very caring. The staff and management always have time for clients and their families. The parking lot can be crowded during the morning, but I was always able to find a spot. Their are plenty of activities and the grounds are beautiful and accessible to patients.
