This review is based on someone who has worked in healthcare management and operations for 3 decades; this place is poor!~!
To start, a client is a current patient there; call bells answered in 8-10 minutes if at all; then they come in to see what you need and never return; the activity staff, roll their eyes about other patient reactions to other patients and family members; this was witnessed last night; poor social interaction for an activity staff; the nursing staff comes in and leaves the medication in cups on the bedside table!!! Who does that!!! The patient could not even take her own meds!! I asked the nurse to help her and she said she had too many people that the patient was able to do it herself! The Director of Social Work has no bedside manner nor social skills; all the patients complain about her and so do the other departments and she is still there!! Therapy, a patient shared with me last night that he was discharged; he is totally independent with everything and therapy came to his room to get him and bring him back to therapy and he asked why and was told they were picking him back up!!! He said he cannot wait to get out of there!! you dont pick up a patient if they are independent!! This place needs a total staff overhaul with caring people people who have compassion and want to take care of people not just sit at the desk and talk and be on their cell phones!! Stay away...far away!

Yes! They took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.

My mother was in the transitional care unit after being discharged from the hospital. They took excellent care of her. The meals were well balanced, the physical and occupational therapists were knowledgeable, and the social activities were varied and kept her alert. Help came quickly whenever she used the buzzer. I was very happy with the level of professionalism and felt that she was well cared for at Genesis Cromwell Center.

Do not send a loved one to this facility. My father spend two months there and no one was friendly or kind The staff would never look up from the nursing station to answer a a question or to hep.. Dad's bed was broken the entire time although we mentioned in to the social worker and nursing supervisor on multiple occasions. He spent all fo his days in a broken chair in the hall and his "room" had no TV or even an outlet to plug n a radio or lamp! This place looks OK on the outside but it's a mess in terms of compassionate, knowledgeable staffing. Even the nurses told us to move him to a better facility.
