My parent is at Cheney Golden age home. I am eagerly waiting to remove her. I can't post details because I am afraid she will get worse care than she already does. They don't apologize when something goes wrong. The aids give attitudes that are very unprofessional. Just because a facility rates a 4 star, does not mean it is based on professionalism, attitudes. I can't sleep very well knowing my mother is not given the fair and understandable treatment a stroke victim should get.

My Dad was a resident at CGAH for two years. He was diabetic, almost blind and in his 90's. I can't imagine him getting better care anywhere. The only reason I didn't give all excellant was that it is an old facility, but in good repair and nicely decorated. The staff know all their patients and treat each one with respect. You see the same staff month after month, and they even get to know the families. I can't say enough nice things about this nursing home.
