Administrator is nothing more than a used car salesman. He makes promises he can't keep and talks a good talk but has no action to back him up.
When you attempt to talk to corporate they put you off and nothing gets resolved.
Resident care is not a priority but money is. Sad for all residents and floor staff

My mother-in-law is bedridden, starving to death because no one feeds her. She lies in shit for hours, rings a bell with her arthritis crippled hands and waits endlessly for help that is slow in coming.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My boyfriend has been here for 7 months, and tried to return. The nurses aren't so bad they do their job and work hard, the aids are awful- they have caused numerous problems, health hazards, and accidents, Kelsey (the director) is immature and inexperienced (she is 23 yrs old), she does not have a clue on patients who live there nor inpatient therapy. The therapists are great, but the quality of living there because of the director's choices suffer IMMENSELY! It would be in Chardon Health Care's BEST interest to eliminate her from this facility. It would be a better living and therapy center if she was gone. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY UNLESS YOU KNOW FOR SURE KELSEY IS NO LONGER EMPLOYED HERE! The only thing that was a blessing was having a lawyer on hand everyday when something went wrong.

My mother stayed here for 6 weeks and in that time LOST 20 pounds and had to call 911 on her room phone to get assitance because the staff didnt respond to her calls for help as she lay on the floor of her room. This incident was later verified by staff to me as that had been working that evening. The director and nursing supervisor lied about this and other matters. I had to go to Chardon Police Dept to get a police report which proved that the administration was lying. I wouldnt recommend this facility to my worst enemy. Its a beautiful facility but the care is minimal. Too bad I can leave a negative 5 stars.

Yes! They took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.
