I visited Broadmead Retirement Community several times because I have a friend who lives there. It is a beautiful community in Cockeysville, Maryland. It is a first class community compared to others that I have visited. They have all levels of care. It is physically attractive with lots of things to do. When it is time for me to make a move I will choose Broadmead.
Broadmead Retirement Community has that feeling of home that we were looking for my parents. Their apartment is filled with natural light from all the windows. They have more green space than any other retirement community we visited. The apartments are larger than most places. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They knew everyone's name and stories- you could tell that they cared. But the residents were the real treats. They were so welcoming and happy to talk. The residents seemed more involved here than at other places we visited. Dad was so happy to hear about the discussion groups and the wine socials.
We chose this community because after visiting about 3 other retirement communities in Baltimore County, Broadmead was the best organized and was the cleanest. The apartments are really nice and have plenty of space. The staff is just marvelous and really makes a difference. Their Director of Sales is a true professional and did really well assisting us with everything we needed. There seems to be plenty of activities to keep the residents occupied if they chose to participate. As soon as we visited Broadmead we just knew this was the community we wanted. We are very pleased with our decision in choosing Broadmead.
A year after my wife passed away, the prodding by my children and my self realization that living alone in my home with all the related upkeep and typical expense, I agreed with the children and decided on Broadmead Retirement Community and after my initial visit, meeting some of the current residents and touring the community, I was impressed with what I saw and made the decision to "Move In". The location was also big factor in my decision in the my children and grandchildren live relatively close by. Now a seasoned resident of 1 year, I have found the fellow residents to be of different backgrounds and experiences yet with like needs and desires. Spare time activities are in-place and growing as the request and participation requires. The fellowship and commonalty is inspiring and helpful in the daily life. I STRONGLY recommend Broadmead to all comers.
Broadmead Retirement Community is absolutely fabulous. The marketing director was just very, very helpful. We had lunch there, and we also went over to their skilled nursing center. The apartments were very nice and we thought it was the best bang for the buck.
I have had two of my aunts live at Broadmead Retirement Community and they both received excellent care. I spent alot of time there visiting them and everyone was always so helpful and friendly. I have another family member who is getting to the point where he can't live alone and he has already decided that he will go to Broadmead. Great place to live!
