This man is abusive and has to be reported by every patient he has harmed. Go to the Department of Health Website and File a Complaint. It is the only way to stop him.

Wonderful psychiatrist/psychotherapist. Dr. Jackson has a reputation for being stern. He does not allow you to backslide if you have made progress. I call that unwavering guidance towards recovery. If you want to hold on to a "sick role" he is not the right provider for you. He empowers clients to develop more compassion for themselves and to take an active role in recovery from mental illness. Dr. Jackson helped me overcome phobias, anxiety and trauma I have been struggling with for decades. . There are many psychiatrists who are quick to throw meds at you without any therapy whatsoever. He is not one of them. Would highly recommend to friends who are ready to do the work. Excellent psychotherapist for psychotherapists.

I can see why he may not be right for some who need their hand held or who needs someone to sugar coat things- he does not. He can be stern but is totally competent and caring when it's needed.
I appreciate his honesty and am trying to get well, therefore I don't want someone who will just tell me what I want to hear.
I feel comfortable talking to him and I highly recommend him.

To begin with I think anyone who gave favorable reviews either knows him outside of his practice or he did himself. This man is horrible!! Only after I left his office in tears and did further research did I learn he is ALREADY ON PROBATION for his inappropriate actions. He obviously does not learn from his mistakes. He was rude. Did nothing to calm my anxieties and clearly could not care less about me as a patient. I left his office hysterical after five minutes. The odd thing? His receptionist clearly was not surprised. This shows me this is a norm for them. I actually drove to my other counselor (I was there for meds only) and had to be triaged for my anxiety. It's a sad day when a PSYCHIATRIST sends you into a panic attack. I have already filed a grievance with my insurance. I have other plans to file a grievance with the state licensing.
