I am not sure what to think. Our daughter is
scheduled to have her 3rd appointment, next week. The thing which frustrates us, is that it is very difficult to communicate with her; following the initial visit; &, I have absolutely no idea how to contact her, directly. This part is not necessarily on Sandra: It has been both mine & my wife's experience that NO ONE in the WASHINGTON STATE system "genuinely" cares: Certainly not, at least wherein parents are concerned. We have been pretty much "systematically" cut out. When we have spoken with those, whom identify as "care providers", within the system, we have discovered them to be pretentious. We are not encouraged by a SYSTEM which does not inspire confidence!

another ordinary therapist. doesn't challenge or analyze my mildly autistic adult child on topics brought up. my child has been to many therapists and was not impressed with this one. weeks after my child came home when the program was done, I saw my child's payments and late fees unpaid. one of the autistic traits my child has is forgetfulness. I wrote a letter to Ms. Bremner-Dexter explaining why we should not pay or at least pay a smaller late fee AND reminding her of my child's forgetfulness. I did not get a response at all even after I paid for the late fees and payments due so to finalize this part of my child's life. She gave me a ugly vision of who she is as a therapist - arrogant, uncaring and unforgiving. I pray you have a better relationship with this therapist than my child and I did.

I am a physician mysel and my daughter sees Dr. Dexter. I am concerned that such an uncaring and cold person could be a child psychiatrist.
My daughter states she only asks about side effects of medications and does not ask personal questions. My daughter feels she has no interest in her as a person, but only wants to know symptoms.
When I attempted to contact Dr. Dexter after a traumatic event with my daughter, she did not even bother to return my call.
It should be highlighted that my daughter has not gotten better under the care(?) of Dr. Dexter, but has deteriorated.
Of course,I am switching psychiatrists for my daughter
