There are so many choices of plastic surgeons out there one can afford to be discriminating. Since this is a cash on the line business do your research and make decisions with the mindset that these doctors are in competition for your business. Never lose sight of that. Dr. Tobin has created a fiefdom in a small community based more on convenience than true ability. He is moderately capable as a technician, however, clearly his focus is money not quality. Sadly, I did not do my homework and did fall for the convenience factor and almost paid with my life. Understanding that there are always risks my issues with Tobin are related to his insensitivity, failure to recognize a serious problem, and complete indifference to the ensuing infection that consumed my life and resources.

Our experience with Tobin was a debacle and I am fortunate to have survived. I live in pain every single day of my life as a result of his ineptitude, failure to consider what should be obvious, and total indifference to the danger of my situation. Once recognized as a life threatening infection (not by him) Tobin was more concerned with his reputation than my life. Not once, did he inquire about me and my condition. I can say nothing favorable regarding this inhuman doctor who is more concerned with his own reflection in the mirror than quality service or care. I have subsequently learned so much more from people having similar problems with this man, however, I am speaking only to my experience. If he was half as adept a surgeon as he is at shameless self promotion there might be some merit in considering Tobin. As inconvenient as it might be seek out physicians with good reputations and satisfying outcomes. I chose not to sue for malpractice reserving the privilege and right to warn others considering this man. Spend the extra time and money going to someone capable and compassionate. Life is too short and resources too limited to risk having a disastrous outcome leaving one in constant pain and regret.
