Dr. Abernathy performed a cholecystectomy on my father years ago while practicing in Abilene, Tx. A year later Dr. Abernathy removed my brother's gallbladder as well. My brother and I didn't know him from "Adam," but after speaking with him about performing my father's surgery, we were confident he was the right doctor to do it. He proved to be an excellent surgeon. Although he's in Temple now, I would absolutely go to him rather than take a chance with anyone else, and I reside in the Metroplex.

Dr. Abernathy presents with a professional courteous manner. He did not talk down to me. He made me feel like he was truly interested in my surgical case and the surrounding care and treatment. He was attentive and responsive to my questions and was not offended when I asked him about his experience. I had a colonoscopy done by Dr. Abernathy. He made me a PARTNER in my care and fully SUPPORTED MY decisions about that care. Everything went extremely well with no adverse sequelae. I feel very CONFIDENT in his skills and know that I will come out ok with my upcoming surgery. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. ABERNATHY for personal, professional, competent care.
