The ONLY good thing that I can say about this doctor is that he correctly diagnosed me with adult add. The only reason for that, however, was because I had gone in for a research study on a new depression medicine, not because he did a thorough exam as a new patient. In fact, when I showed up for my first appointment with him, I was told that I would be seeing his nurse, not him. I understand that that is normal practice, once you are an established patient, but not as a new patient with a new diagnosis.

That being said, I saw the nurse for my first appointment, she went to the doctor, and he came in the room for approximately 90 seconds before they handed me a prescription for stimulant ADD medication. I had some issues with that medication over the following month, saw the nurse on my 2nd appointment, and was given a lower dose. At my 3rd appointment I saw the nurse again, and told her that I was not feeling as though the medication was effective, and asked to change medications. Again, I asked for a prescription that had a generic, and was refused. Through the last two appointments with the nurse, I felt as though she was speaking down to me quite a bit, and even somewhat accusing me of seeking drugs, although every time I had gone in, I had asked for lowered dosage/different medication. Never did I ask to increase my dosage or ask for a stronger medication.

The office staff (except for the girl who schedules your next appointment, she is a sweetheart) ALL act like you are a huge pain in the rear just for existing. I looked up Dr. Ginsberg after this last appointment, and found out that he does receive very large sums of money for speaking fees, travel, food, etc. from the pharmacy companies, so I'm not surprised I was refused generic medications both times. (Look up dollars for doctors to see for yourself) He is also not board certified in Psychiatry. I'll be finding a new doctor to go to. I would not recommend that anyone go to this practice, ever.

I spent less than 2 minutes with this doctor as a patient, but he has no problem simply changing up high power medications without speaking to your or explaining the medications to you. He didn't recommend any type of follow up care such as therapy. He seems perfectly content to let his nurse do his work, and not treat his patients himself.

Complete Pill Pusher!!!! Put me on medications that didn't even pertain to my ailment!!! Out of the three years I have been treated here, I have only seen him about 5 times. None of which he spent more than 3 minutes with me. Very cold person with no social skills!!! Nurse is the one that does all the work, runs out the office, talks to him and returns with a blank signed prescription (Which she fills in once she walks back into the office). Only reason I gave an extra star was because my therapist was actually very nice and educated!!! Don't waste your time with this doctor, do yourself a favor and research another worthy one!!!

I cannot stand this dr's office. I am going to transfer my daughter as soon as possible. They treat you like you are just a big $$$ dollar sign. Being in the waiting room is like waiting at the DMV. And you always have to wait no matter how early for your appt. you are. It's impossible to talk to a real person on the phone. If you leave a message, it may or may not be returned. They don't seem to care about patients' needs - just getting yours and your insurance company's money. Horrible!!!

To go here, you have to jump through hoops. To get a prescription refill, you have to fax a form 3 days before, then go pick it up, and pay $10 just to get a prescription refill, even though you're not seeing the doctor. Insurance does not cover this fee. Then, they gave my daughter the wrong strength medication and she ended up in the hospital. You actually see the doctor for about 30 seconds each time.
