I only gave him 1/2 star because it wouldn't take my review with none. I believe he needs treatment himself. He yells at his staff, his staff complains to the patients about him, he doesn't return your calls, you can't get an appointment when you're having a problem, he doesn't listen, he argues with his patients. He even tried to put me back on a med I was taking when I first went that wasn't working because he didn't review my history. I wouldn't go back to him if he was the last doctor on earth! NIGHTMARE!

THIS OFFICE IS A JOKE. COMPLETE PILL PUSHER. Not only do you see him for 10 seconds but you have to wait for the appointment for about an hour. Twice I have scheduled the first appointment of the day only to sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes waiting on his nurse to see me. They make you pay $10.00/month for him to write your script for ADHD meds. That just isn't right. Been going to him for 5 years but today was my last time. I am looking for a real doctor as of today. Also the front staff is very rude. After waiting 45 minutes I told the person behind the magic window that I had to leave for work and she just said to me "If you leave you will still be charged for the appointment." She could have cared less. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF IT WOULD LET ME1111

The ONLY good thing that I can say about this doctor is that he correctly diagnosed me with adult add. The only reason for that, however, was because I had gone in for a research study on a new depression medicine, not because he did a thorough exam as a new patient. In fact, when I showed up for my first appointment with him, I was told that I would be seeing his nurse, not him. I understand that that is normal practice, once you are an established patient, but not as a new patient with a new diagnosis.

That being said, I saw the nurse for my first appointment, she went to the doctor, and he came in the room for approximately 90 seconds before they handed me a prescription for stimulant ADD medication. I had some issues with that medication over the following month, saw the nurse on my 2nd appointment, and was given a lower dose. At my 3rd appointment I saw the nurse again, and told her that I was not feeling as though the medication was effective, and asked to change medications. Again, I asked for a prescription that had a generic, and was refused. Through the last two appointments with the nurse, I felt as though she was speaking down to me quite a bit, and even somewhat accusing me of seeking drugs, although every time I had gone in, I had asked for lowered dosage/different medication. Never did I ask to increase my dosage or ask for a stronger medication.

The office staff (except for the girl who schedules your next appointment, she is a sweetheart) ALL act like you are a huge pain in the rear just for existing. I looked up Dr. Ginsberg after this last appointment, and found out that he does receive very large sums of money for speaking fees, travel, food, etc. from the pharmacy companies, so I'm not surprised I was refused generic medications both times. (Look up dollars for doctors to see for yourself) He is also not board certified in Psychiatry. I'll be finding a new doctor to go to. I would not recommend that anyone go to this practice, ever.

I spent less than 2 minutes with this doctor as a patient, but he has no problem simply changing up high power medications without speaking to your or explaining the medications to you. He didn't recommend any type of follow up care such as therapy. He seems perfectly content to let his nurse do his work, and not treat his patients himself.
