I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Although the doctor was nice enough and seemed competent , the staff flat-out lied to me, are discourteous, and they are vindictive.

First, the staff lied to me. I asked for a written prescription. I prefer written prescriptions for a number of reasons. (1) If you get to the drug store and there is a long line which often seems to happen at Wal-Mart, or if they don't have it in stock, you can take it elsewhere. (2) You don't have the problem of getting to the drug store and because the assistant was busy or whatever, the prescription hasn't been called in yet. (3) You can price shop which you might wish to do if the prescriptions are very expensive.

However, instead of giving me a written prescription the assistant said Medicare prescriptions must be sent electronically and when I pointed out that I don't have Medicare she loudly said "OBAMACARE!" then added, " Since January 1st all prescriptions must be sent electronically." That was a lie because I then asked the pharmacist if they accept written prescriptions and was told "Yes, I just got one" and held it up. The pharmacist also told me he never heard about Obamacare requiring electronically sent prescriptions and that he receives many written prescription. Regardless of their reasons for lying, I cannot recommend any doctor when you cannot trust the doctor or his staff to tell you the truth.

Second, the staff was discourteous. The receipt only showed the $18 copayment, which makes me wonder what they are trying to hide, so I asked for a receipt showing the service and total charge. However, she got all hostile and went to the doctor. The doctor told me he doesn't know the charge because their contract with the insurance companies states they will accept whatever they allow. I thanked him and left. However, if that is true, the staff should have said that instead of getting all hostile.

Third, the staff are vindictive. Even if my foregoing requests were unreasonable and makes me a jerk, there can be no excuse for the staff to retaliate in a manner that affects a patient's health. I went to the pharmacist the next day and they never called in the prescription. There is no question about it being the wrong drug store because I couldn't recall the name and she looked up the name and address. However, even if you believe that was just an oversight, there is no justification for their continued refusal to call in the prescription. The pharmacist said they would call the doctor for the prescription. After waiting almost an hour, I checked on the prescription. She said they were still waiting for it to be called in. The pharmacist was standing next to her and said, "I don't know why they couldn't tell me when I was on the phone with them but they said they would call it right in." I only live a few blocks away so I asked her to call when she received the description and gave her my phone number. However, they never call the prescription in. It has been hours and now since it is past 5 pm, certainly they will not call in today.
