Dr. Lee is the best gastroenterologist I have ever seen. She is direct but empathetic, and very thorough. I would recommend her without hesitation!

They make sure every single question I have is answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. Their staff is friendly and professional. I have been a client of Dr. Lee for many years, and I am satisfied with the condition of my health I am able to maintain as a result of my visits with them. In my opinion, Dr. Lee is a competent practicing professional associated with a group of like-minded physicians and surgeons who hold themselves and their staff to high standards.

Dr. Lee's office set up an appointment on January 30, 2012 for an endoscopy for an Esophageal Ring (in other words, I have trouble swallowing food due to GERD).

On Friday, January 27, 2012, I received a phone call from Dr. Lee's nurse going over the procedure with me. She was great and everything seemed great. Two hours later I got a call from Dr. Lee's office again. I thought it was the nurse calling back because she had forgotten to tell me something...that wasn't the case. It was her billing department telling me that before I could have the test, I had to give them $599.24 on the day of the test before the insurance company ever paid the first penny. I had that problem with their billing department the first time I went to this doctor. My insurance has a co-pay of 30% for office visits...they asked for a certain amount which I paid and then my insurance company paid them which left me with a credit. They did not contact regarding this credit or send a check for the difference. When I went to the doctor on Tuesday, January 24th, I had to remind them of this credit when checking out as they weren't going to give me the credit voluntarily.

I said all this because it's doctors offices like this that causes people to not get the treatment they need because of the pressure to pay their over inflated prices up front before insurance pays. I am not trying to get out of paying, just that I cannot afford to pay this amount up front without some notice. I was out of work for 2 years and just started back and my insurance is not the best. Needless to say, I need to find a more compassionate doctor.
