I do not wish to go into too much detail about my experience with Dr. Hopkins, because it would contain some private medical details. I will say that I ended up visiting this doctor when I became pregnant with my son in 2002. I was fairly young and if I had known better at the time I would have found a new doctor immediately. During several different appointments before and after the birth of my son Dr. Hopkins made extremely rude and condescending comments towards me, including saying that I was "stupid". I got the impression that one of his nurses also realized that he was a complete jerk, because I would get sympathetic glances from her. This man was completely unprofessional and judgemental. If I had been older and wiser like I am now, I would have made the appropriate complaints where needed at the time. Luckily, because this doctor was busy at a football game when I went into labor, an excellent doctor (Dr. Michael Hoffman) ended up delivering my son. I am sad to see that Dr. Hopkins is still practicing and hope that there are no other young mothers being spoken down to by this jerk of a doctor.
