I had to wait 4 weeks for my appointment but it was worth the wait. Dr. Platto listened to my issues and questions, did an exam and then made his recommendations for how I should proceed. He did not prescribe more unneeded pain meds and anti-inflammatories which every other doctor seems to do and then send me on my way. He actually came up with a plan of how to decrease the pain in my back by prescribing a RS-4i sequential stimulation. He also gave me a script for physical therapy to learn how to strengthen and use my (inoperable) hip in hopes of lessening my pain and preserving the joint as much as I can to prolong my need of getting a total hip replacement. He also recommends a lot of core stabilization work to lessen the pain in my hip and back. He also respectfully agreed to do an EMG study on my back to see if we can determine exactly where my back pain is originating. I feel hopeful and see a light at the end of this dark tunnel of pain
since seeing Dr. Platto. I look forward to seeing him in two weeks when I get my EMG.
