Don't let all the crap in these other reviews scare you. No, it's not the fanciest office you have ever seen, or the most sophisticated receptionist. But Dr. Radfar really knows her stuff and is the best psychiatrist with medication I've ever dealt with, and I've dealt with a lot. She successfully diagnosed me as bipolar when five others did not and I finally got medication that helped me. Yes, she is blunt and you better be prepared for that but better that than someone who just tells you something because he/she thinks you want to hear it. Go to her if you need and want help and follow her directions. You won't be sorry you did.

They do such a great job of never overbooking appointments, even though they are extremely popular. I know for a fact that they have lots of business, but I've never had to wait a long time in a crowded waiting room like other places I've been too. They are definitely the best psychiatrist I've ever seen. I think they are the most knowledgeable, helpful psychiatrist in the field. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I've ever seen. Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily.

I can tell it is maybe not a top priority to maintain a professional appearance here. They didn't look terrible, but there is definitely lots of room for improvement. They make no effort to make me feel special. I don't think they appreciate my loyalty to them. Apparently they haven't ever heard of the saying "the customer's always right" here. Having a high level of customer service doesn't appear to be their top priority. I had to look for a long time before I finally found their qualifications. They need to make them more obvious. The wait was absolutely ridiculous. It messed up my entire day.

When calling to make the appointment the receptionist, Marlene, was rude and crass. After the 1st message and 48 hours, I had to call again. A phone message was left with no return phone number or name. I called back. Marlene told me they could not see a UPMC patient from a different county. I questioned her and explained I see a dr in Allegheny county now and she said "well that's not the way our office works." She assumed I was on UPMC for You. I explained to her I was a ppo patient and how rude she was and she asked"Do you want an appointment or not?" I reply def not! Then I thought about it, called back and told Marlene I wanted the appointment and her question to me was to see the dr. or complain? Nice staffing skills.

I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for. They always dress so professionally here, the entire staff obviously makes an effort to look their best and maintain a very professional appearance. I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to my question. They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart. I always have the best experience every time I have an appointment here. Although I have not had much to complain about, I have noticed that they strongly adhere to the customer is always right policy and if anything goes wrong make every effort to correct the situation. I never had to doubt their qualifications. They made their credentials completely obvious, which made me feel a lot safer. Dr. Radfar saved my life. She is my Godsend. I would refer her to anyone I know that needs help. She is very caring and loving.

Dr. Radfar can come off as a little blunt sometimes, especially before you're used to her style, but it's very clear that she cares a great deal about her patients and takes great effort to keep up with them. She's also very understanding about squeezing you in if you need an appointment sooner than what you have scheduled (though possibly only when you are already a patient -- I suspect like most specialists, getting that first appointment might take a while.) Unfortunately this does mean wait times are a little long when you go in for an appointment, but I always feel that I am being listened to and taken seriously when I go in for an appointment. I've seen a lot of psychiatrists, and Dr. Radfar is by far my favorite, and I have already recommended her to people.
