The surgeon, I was much more comfortable going into surgery knowing what the surgeon was like

Gary Nishioka made a recommendation for eye lid surgery which I didn't originally want and talked me out of a minor surgery I did want. After the eye surgery my right eye wouldn't close at all for 2 weeks. To this day it doesn't close when I'm sleeping and I must use eye drops. He totally blew off my concerns about my eye. Surgery was conducted in the tiniest room with almost no monitoring of vital signs. Also, he didn't have a nurse anesthetist on hand, but only one medical assistant.

I went to another plastic surgeon and received the more minor surgery with great satisfaction. The second surgeon had a wonderful huge suite with extensive monitoring, a nurse anesthetist as well as a nurse. His costs were also more reasonable than Nishioka's. This second surgeon also attempted to correct the eye problem with some success.

I wouldn't recommend Gary Nishioka for cosmetic surgery, although I've heard he's competent at oral/nasal surgery. I wouldn't trust him because he didn't care about my concerns regarding the complications he caused.
