Their reactions always give me confidence that they had my child's best interest at heart. They are one of the most respected pediatricians in my community. Every parent I know thinks very highly of them, and I actually found them through my OB. I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I've felt patronized at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better.

I trust them over any other doctor I've ever been to. I'm never unsure of their motives, and I've never doubted that they've always had my child's best interest at heart. I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I'm always amazed at how considerate and concerned they are for my well-being. Their advice is always wonderful and completely unbiased.

Dr. Velarde has been my son's pediatrician for 4 years now. When he was a couple day old he was diagnosed w/ jaundice & immediate course of action was taken. As a new mother this was even more horrifying than one could imagine. Dr. Velarde was extremely professional, yet very sensitive and genuinely caring. As was his entire staff. I even received a daily phone call w/ the stat lab results that were taken at an outside lab facility for the week. Aside from Dr. Velarde's professionalism he has a way w/ children and am always pleased w/ the creative and amusing techniques he uses while examining my son.

I have worked in the medical profession for nearly 15 years and am VERY selective w/ my families medical care. I expect to have qualified and professional care and have always received this from every department in his office. When I've called a triage nurse and they are uncertain of my son's symptoms they are not hesitant to recommend an appointment and under those conditions are always able to see him promptly. I can appreciate not receiving a presumed diagnosis over the phone.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Velarde and his qualified staff. We have also seen Dr. Bradshaw, another provider in their office and she is equally experienced and genuine as well. They have a VERY informative website at www.eugenepeds.com whereby I have had some of my questions answered from there. If you are looking for the perfect pediatrician...make this one of the smartest decisions for your child. Get the peace of mind you need w/out second guessing your doctor.
